Changed ​

  • A whole bunch of performance improvements related to user lists, the profile cache, and smart filters. This includes the problem(s) with 2.4.0 where switching channels would cause a noticeable delay before scrolling down.
    • Fixed issues where the filter icon (for Smart Filters) would cause UserView components to render slowly, even if you didn't have smart filters enabled at all. [Commit]
    • Channel members and the 'All friends/ bookmark' tabs are now virtualized. [Channels] [Friends]
      • This should solve noticable hitches when opening the members list of large channels.
    • Switching between channels now purges a character from the profile fetch queue, if it's no longer needed. [Commit]
    • Overall, things like switching between channels and tabs in the right sidebar should feel a lot snappier-- Even snappier than before!
  • Various emoji and other phrases are now used to check if certain age-related preferences or smart filter options are triggered. [Commit]
  • Added some tips to the Solstice sync tool, with common network issues that might provide problems. [Commit]
  • Updated localization files. [Spanish] [French] [Italian] [Hungarian]

Fixed ​

  • The F-List API ticket is now shared between your Horizon tabs, instead of each tab having its own. [Commit]
    • This should solve almost every case where you'd get an "Invalid ticket" error when connecting in a second or third tab. Except for when you're also connected on a different device. That's an issue with F-List that we cannot do anything about.
  • Disconnecting no longer keeps channels you have left stuck in your navigation history. [Commit]
    • This should solve issues where rapidly disconnecting after a reconnect would keep "ghost" channels in your history when using the mouse forward/ backward buttons to navigate.
  • Selecting different languages for the spell checker no longer requires a full restart. [Commit]

  • Renamed instances of hasNew (the unread message counters for conversations and tabs) to newCount. [Commit]
